Since September [2004], there have been some astrological events taking place that have been directly or indirectly influencing and affecting our reality here on the planet Earth. In fact, right now, there is what we astrologers call a perigee - syzygy happening right now. I don't expect you to understand what that is, so I will just say that the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth are basically in a straight line in respect to one another.

This alignment, plus the fact that 5 out of 10 planetary bodies in the heavens are in one zodiac sign. That only leaves 5 other energies for the other 11 signs to share.

So, to make it simple, People are competing for energy. Not just physical energy, but emotional, intellectual, and most of all, Spiritual energy. There is so very little available now that people tend to be in conflict with one another and also, their environment. They may tend to be angry, argumentative, combative, frustrated, overly emotional, not willing to compromise, flipant, confused, high expectations of others, and have a tendency to blow things away out of proportion. Thus we have a lot of dramatics, confrontations, disagreements, emotional outbursts, and just a general overall powerful VOID (emptiness), that is not very compatible in areas of business dealings, person-to-person negotiations, anywhere co-operation or compromise is needed. Very good examples are; the ongoing NHL stalemate, the government sponsorship inquiry, the same-sex marriage controversy, etc.

Yes! It is also about NATURE. The Tsunami, the mud-slides, the heavy snowfalls. It is about extreme, unpredictable, startling, severe weather-shifting. People's emotions and their thinking are affected greatly by the weather and the warm-freezing-hot-cold-warm shifts. It affects us greatly and more profoundly than we would like to believe or suspect.

Fear can be a great motivator! Ah Yes! But it can also be a super-powerful paralyzing, destructive, defeating, disharmonious energy. This energy can lay latent in the human psyche, and spirit, causing anti-congengenial behaviors in most people, and can also drain the energy of the ambiance, and atmosphere of a convention room, a home, and to a certain degree the wide open spaces.

I guess we can now understand why Feng Shui and other energy manipulating techniques are becoming so popular.
